[Feature] Dedicated Server
Me and four mates love this game (All in the same city so no lag)
But having to match the playtime of the host is annoying. We got around this by 'faking' a host on another machine (no one playing it) and all 'real' players drop in and out, but its not the same as a real dedicated server

Gilbert J. PalauIn the Store page the game says, Online Co-Op. But the game relies on storing the save game on the "host" game is so 1980's. Even if the solution of making a dedicated server that can be deployed from SteamCMD is too much to ask, at least fix the multiplayer so that the save game is stored in steam cloud, and copied to all players. This is what Osiris: New Dawn and ICARUS: First Cohorts do.
When the "dedicated connection" is created in the game, it stores the save game so to speak in Steam Cloud, then as players start joining the save game is synced between everyone, and pretty much anyone can start the game the next time.
Something like this, would be a really good way to allow the game to be played without a "dedicated server" software being built from the ground up. I am very interested in this feature. -

Randy HartleWe've got 5 more waiting for server hosting with fingers crossed. Game is gorgeous, and willing to tough out the development. But while we're all in EST our game times vary a great deal, especially during the week. Would love this on a hosted server supporting 10 players preferably, with no host player, no leashing, and an open experience for all. Regardless of when, this looks great and cannot wait to play it. Love the Pulp Sci-Fi approach. Keep at it!!

Jim b.Upvote. I'm sure this might be difficult because of mobs attacking un-manned bases. Perhaps set invasions only to happen based on player count with none at 0 ?

KiraWould love a dedicated server option. Me and a number of friends who live across the world want to play together and slowly work towards on the amazing world you devs have built. We would love to play individually on the same world as well as being able to meet up once every fortnight, rather than wait until the host is readily available to host (which is rarely because our host plays other games too so can't host our beyond contact world).
